Forging
All grades of titanium are processed into net shaped and conventional closed die forgings offering exceptional dimensional tolerances, minimal input stock and consistent material properties. FPD’s hydraulic and mechanical presses are capable of producing titanium forgings with a plan-view area of 50 square inches or approximately 20 pounds.

High Speed Machining
FPD’s modern well-equipped machine shop is an integral part of our manufacturing process. We have a long history of developing new and innovative high-speed machining techniques for all grades of titanium, stainless steel, aluminum and cobalt chrome. Our machining capabilities include multi-pallet 4 and 5 axis complex milling and multi-axis turning on parts that are 30” x 30” x 30” or less. Unattended machining is achieved on a 52-pallet Makino Machining Complex (MMC) integrating three high torque high HP 4-axis aerospace machining centers.
